Grzegorz Eliasiewicz

A graduate of the Faculty of History of the Jagiellonian University, archaeologist, photographer, employee of the Institute of Art History of the Jagiellonian University, since 2012 a collaborator of Corpus Vitrearum Polska. He has conducted research on stained glass. He specializes in photography of architecture and of works of art, with particular emphasis on sacred art, having gained experience by participating in numerous surveying and documentation projects, such as "The Stained Glass from the Years 1800–1945 in the Roman Catholic Churches of the Metropolises of Cracow and Przemyśl", "The medieval stained glass in Poland”, "Józef Kremer (1806-1875)", "Nowosielski – sacred art. Podlasie, Warmia and Mazury, Lublin", or "Architecture and equipment of the Dominican friary complex in Krakow - from the first half of the 13th century to modern times". His high quality photographs are made with the use of modern methods, innovative technology, and professional image processing. His photographs appeared, among others, in the five-volume catalogue accompanying the project "The Stained Glass from the Years 1800–1945 in the Roman Catholic Churches of the Metropolises of Cracow and Przemyśl" (Kraków 2013–2017), awarded with the prestigious Prof. Jerzy Łoziński prize.

Winner of the 12th edition of the 'ARS QUAERENDI' Award of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship for outstanding activities in the development and promotion of culture (2019).
