In 2017 an international scholarly conference, entitled “Stained Glass from c. 1800 to 1945: Terminology – Periodization – Forms”, was organised by the Centre in collaboration with the Corpus Vitrearum Poland. Apart from Polish scholars, its participants included stained-glass specialists from Austria, Spain, Germany, the United States, Switzerland and Great Britain. It was held in the Art History Institute of the Jagiellonian University on 6–7 December. The topics discussed included the definition of stained glass in the nineteenth and twentieth century, the terminology used for particular stages of stained glass development, a chronological comparison of various stylistic periods in different countries, and stylistic forms associated with particular periods. Proceedings of the conference were published in the Folia Historiae Artium journal in 2019.
