dr Piotr Kołpak

A graduate of the Jagiellonian University in history (2011); in 2020 he obtained a doctoral degree on the basis of the dissertation entitled The cult of the patron saints of the Kingdom of Poland during the Jagiellonian times, defended at the Faculty of History of the Jagiellonian University. Since January 2020, he has been employed in the "Digital Archive of the Archdiocese of Krakow" project, financed from the European funds budget (Digital Poland Operational Program 2014–2020). In the years 2017–2019, he was employed as scientific and technical assistant in the "Sacred Heritage of Lesser Poland" project (Regional Operational Program of the Lesser Poland Voivodeship for 2014–2020), in the years 2014–2017 he conducted an archival survey within the project ‘The medieval stained glass in Poland’. In 2015 he worked as assistant and archivist of Prof. Zbigniew Pełczyński, Professor Emeritus, at Pembroke College, Oxford University. In 2010–2011 the was the head of the Polish YMCA archive, in 2008 was an employee of a survey of the First World War military graves and cemeteries in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. Author of numerous publications on the religious culture and historical memory of the late Middle Ages, on auxiliary sciences of history and on medieval stained glass (entries in the exhibition catalogue "Miracle of light. Medieval stained glass in Poland", National Museum in Krakow, 14 Feb. – 26 July 2020, Krakow 2020; The importance of medieval stained glass in the Chancel of St Mary's Church in Krakow throughout history, in: "As a heart within the body..."
