Sławomir Oleszczuk

Born in 1961. A graduate of Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Institute of Monument and Conservation Studies in Conservation and Restoration of Architectural Elements and Details (1988). In 1990, on a scholarship at the Bundesdenkmalamt in Vienna, conducted conservation of medieval stained glass. A member of the Association of Stained-Glass Enthusiasts (Stowarzyszenie Miłośników Witraży) "Ars Vitrea Polona". Since 1989, a member of the Committee for the Conservation and Restoration of Stained Glass of Corpus Vitrearum Polska. Since 1989, he has run an art conservation studio, mainly dealing with historic stained glass.

• 2018 Koszewko, conservation of medieval heraldic stained-glass windows and of 18th-century historic stained-glass windows, commissioned by the German-Polish Foundation for the Protection of Culture.

• 2017 Karkonosze Museum in Jelenia Góra, conservation of the collection of stained-glass windows (from the 17th to the beginning of the 20th century; 51 panels).

• 2016 Toruń, conservation of a medieval stained-glass window from the cathedral, commissioned by the German-Polish Foundation for the Protection of Culture.

• 2015 Włocławek, conservation of a medieval figural stained-glass window from the cathedral, commissioned by the German-Polish Foundation for the Protection of Culture.

• 1998–2013 the church of the Guardian Angels in Wałbrzych, coordinated by the CVMA Taskforce for Stained Glass from Potsdam, and from 2013 by the German-Polish Foundation for the Protection of Cultural Monuments (Deutsch-Polnische Stiftung Kulturpflege und Denkmalschutz – DPS), Görlitz.

• 1995–2012 Castle Museum in Malbork, conservation and reconstruction of stained-glass windows (in the chapter house, infirmary, chapel of St Anne at the Upper Castle), conservation and arrangement of the permanent stained glass exhibition from 1884–1893 from the church of the Blessed Virgin Mary at the Upper Castle.

• 1995–2020 Museum of Nicolaus Copernicus in Frombork, conservation of 19th-century stained glass from the cathedral of Frombork and the surrounding area (75 window panels), partly presented in the permanent exhibition.

• 1990–2012 National Museum in Krakow, conservation of medieval stained glass (2 panels with the Annunciation scene and a fragment of a tracery from St Mary’s Church in Krakow), conservation of modern stained glass (3 panels) and of a glass altarpiece from Biecz (16th century), conservation of a design for a stained-glass window Vita Somnium Breve by Józef Mehoffer.
