Professor Dr habil. Wojciech Bałus

An art historian, born in 1961, he also studied philosophy. Professor at the Institute of Art History of the Jagiellonian University. His research focuses on the theory and history of art between the 19th and 21st centuries, as well as on the relationship between art and philosophy, cultural anthropology, and literary studies. Editor of the "Ars Vetus et Nova" book series. Ordinary member of the Hessische Akademie der Forschung und Planung im Ländlichen Raum, member of the AICA and correspondent-member of PAU [Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences], since 2005 Chairman of the Polish Committee of Corpus Vitrearum.
